The weaving loom is a wonderful tool - we can create such a wide variety of textiles (gossamer silky scarves & shawls, to sturdy rugs and handbags) - all on the same piece of equipment.

This Introductory course will show you an assortment of different looms and how to work on them, from basic Inkle looms for weaving straps & bands, to a rigid heddle loom and then move you right into weaving on a multiple harness table loom. The weaving looms will be all loaded up and ready for you to start weaving. You will also learn how to read and practice weaving different patterns, techniques for keeping an even beat, how to keep your selvedge edges straight etc. This is followed by a full demonstration on how to prepare the warp threads and to get them loaded onto a loom in readiness for weaving. You will get to take home the sample you have woven. Let's get weaving!
