Taking a handful of wool fluff and turning it into a yarn never stops feeling magical. This course will introduce you to the choices of equipment, fibres and how they are prepared for spinning, give you some easy steps to getting "the feel" of handling the twist and the pull of the spinning wheel. Beginners yarns are not expected to be perfect in any way, but those "art yarns" can be used in all sorts of projects. The class goes from 10 to about 2:00 or 3:00 so I ask you to bring along a bag lunch and I'll put on tea and coffee. All fibres and the use of a spinning wheel for the workshop are included in the class fee.
